At the Việt Nam–Thailand Business Forum on May 28, Vietnam Airlines unveiled a new direct service between HCM City and Phuket and signed strategic partnership agreements with major Thai tourism and aviation organisations.
BANGKOK -- Vietnam Airlines has announced a new nonstop route between HCM City and Phuket and signed strategic cooperation agreements with leading Thai tourism and aviation partners during the Việt Nam–Thailand Business Forum on May 28.
Starting July 2, the national carrier will operate four weekly round-trip flights on the HCM City – Phuket route using Airbus A321 aircraft, increasing total weekly flights between Việt Nam and Thailand to 67.
Vietnam Airlines also signed cooperation agreements with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Association of Thai Travel Agents, Saigontourist Group and Airports of Thailand to strengthen tourism promotion, improve connectivity, enhance passenger experience and boost travel demand between the two countries.
Lê Hồng Hà, President and CEO of Vietnam Airlines, said the new route and partnerships reaffirm the airline’s long-term commitment to expanding in Thailand and promoting tourism, trade and investment exchanges across Southeast Asia. – VNS
