Thái Nguyên launches two major projects with combined investment of over $111m
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Thái Nguyên People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Loan said the province is pursuing rapid and sustainable development while striving to become a modern industrial centre of the mountainous northern midland region.
THÁI NGUYÊN — The Thái Nguyên Province People’s Committee held groundbreaking ceremonies on Wednesday for two major projects with a combined investment of more than VNĐ2.9 trillion (US$111 million), marking the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution on August 19 and National Day on September 2.
The projects comprise the No. 1 Residential Area Project, also known as Homie Parkia, in Kha Sơn Commune, and the Thượng Đình Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business project.
Developed by TNG Land JSC, Homie Parkia covers more than 21.22ha with an investment of VNĐ437.3 billion. More than 36 per cent of the site is allocated for housing and over 21 per cent for green spaces and water surfaces. The project is expected to accommodate around 2,500 residents and will be carried out from the third quarter of this year to the second quarter of 2029.
Meanwhile, the Thượng Đình Industrial Park project, developed by Stavian Thai Nguyen Industrial Park Development Company Limited, covers over 128ha with investment of about VNĐ2.5 trillion. Located in Điềm Thụy Commune, Phổ Yên Ward and Bách Quang Ward, the project aims to develop a modern industrial park focusing on manufacturing, high-tech industries, electronics, mechanical engineering, automobile and motorcycle components, technical services and logistics.
The park will connect to the Hà Nội - Thái Nguyên Expressway and National Highway 37, providing access to Hà Nội, Nội Bài International Airport and Hải Phòng Port. Its infrastructure will include a 35 MVA power supply system, water supply capacity of 4,500cu.m per day and wastewater treatment capacity of 3,000cu.m per day.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Loan said the locality is pursuing rapid and sustainable development while striving to become a modern industrial centre of the mountainous northern midland region.
She called on investors and local authorities to ensure project quality and progress, comply with regulations and promptly address difficulties arising during implementation. — VNS
