HÀ NỘI — Construction of Phase 2 of Bắc Đồng Phú Industrial Park in Đồng Nai began on Thursday, with a total investment of VNĐ1.4 trillion (US$53 million).
Covering 316.77 hectares across Đồng Phú Commune and Bình Phước Ward, the project benefits from convenient access to the planned Gia Nghĩa–Chơn Thành Expressway, connecting it to regional industrial, economic and logistics hubs.
More than 70.9 per cent of the site will be allocated to factories and warehouses. Additionally, more than 15.2 hectares will be allocated to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), innovative startups, and supporting industries.
Over 27.1 per cent will be reserved for green spaces, roads and technical infrastructure.
The project is designed as a next-generation industrial park based on five strategic pillars set by Vietnam Rubber Group-JSC: green infrastructure, smart management and manufacturing, clean energy, circular industry, and ESG-based governance. The project will prioritise attracting clean, high-tech and environmentally friendly industries.
The project is expected to create around 10,000 jobs once operational. — BIZHUB
