THANH HÓA — Construction of Quảng Yên Industrial Cluster officially began in Quảng Yên Commune, Thanh Hóa Province on Tuesday.

Covering nearly 60 hectares, Quảng Yên Industrial Cluster was established under a provincial decision in 2021, with subsequent adjustments to its planning. Dai Loc Real Estate Investment and Trading Limited Liability Company, a member of the Tân Đông Hiệp Group ecosystem, is the project’s investor.

The multi-sector industrial cluster is designed to accommodate more than 30 industry groups, focusing primarily on high-tech and environmentally friendly manufacturing. Key sectors include mechanical components and equipment, electrical and electronic products, garments, furniture, and ceramics.

With its favourable location and focus on modern, sustainable industrial development, the project is expected to attract investment, expand local manufacturing capacity, create jobs, and contribute to the province’s socioeconomic growth.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman Tô Anh Dũng emphasised that industrial development and investment projects are key drivers of economic growth. He highlighted Thanh Hóa’s commitment to practical industrial development, measured by new production capacity, employment, and economic contributions. He also reaffirmed the province’s commitment to supporting businesses while ensuring projects meet their schedules and comply with quality and environmental standards.

The chairman urged the investor to mobilise sufficient resources to complete infrastructure on schedule, ensure the centralised wastewater treatment system operates before tenant businesses begin production, and maintain strict workplace safety and environmental protection standards. He also called for transparent leasing policies, the attraction of suitable secondary investors, and priority recruitment of local workers.

Provincial departments and local authorities were asked to resolve project-related obstacles promptly and maintain public security to facilitate construction. — BIZHUB
