FPT partners with Taiwanese university to develop semiconductor talent


Vietnamese technology leader FPT has entered into a cooperation agreement with Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), a top private university in Taiwan renowned for its engineering and technology programs, and FCC Partners (FCCP), one of Taiwan’s largest financial consulting groups. The partnership focuses on training, research, and the development of high-tech talent in the semiconductor sector.

HÀ NỘI —  Việt Nam technology giant, FPT, has signed a cooperation agreement with Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), a leading private university in Taiwan known for its engineering and technology programs, and FCC Partners (FCCP), one of Taiwan’s largest financial consulting groups.

The partnership aims to train, research, and develop high-tech human resources in the semiconductor field.

Under the agreement, the three parties will implement initiatives such as undergraduate student exchanges for internships and research, lecturer and expert exchange programs, promotion of innovation, and joint research projects. The goal is to cultivate a generation of high-quality talent to support the sustainable development of the semiconductor industry in Việt Nam, Taiwan, and the region.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, FCC Partners Chairman CY Huang said, “This cooperation has turned plans discussed last year into action and opened up broader opportunities. Combining Taiwan’s technological expertise, CYCU’s teaching experience, FPT’s tech capabilities, and FCC Partners’ financial and project management capacity, we believe this partnership will create lasting value and practical benefits for businesses and communities in the region.”

Trương Gia Bình, Chairman of FPT, emphasised: "Việt Nam possesses a significant advantage in young human resources, particularly in the semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and robotics sectors. FPT hopes that, with the support of CYCU in training and FCC Partners in facilitating financial resources, all parties can jointly develop high-tech human resource training programs. This collaboration will contribute to building a sustainable innovation ecosystem between Việt Nam and Taiwan (China)."
