HCM CITY — Infineon Technologies, global semiconductor leader in power systems and IoT, announced the opening of its new office in HCM City, deepening its investment and supporting the country's ambitions to become a leading semiconductor innovation hub in Southeast Asia.

Located at OfficeHaus Building, 32 Tân Thắng Street, Tân Sơn Nhì Ward, the new facility serves as a hub for Infineon's research and development (R&D), sales and marketing activities in southern Việt Nam.

The opening marks another milestone in Infineon's expanding presence in Việt Nam. To strengthen local capabilities, Infineon plans to double its HCM City R&D team over the next two years.

"Việt Nam is rapidly emerging as one of Asia's most promising centres for technology innovation, advanced engineering talent and semiconductor development. The new HCM City office reflects Infineon's confidence in Việt Nam's long-term growth potential and our commitment to supporting customers, developing local talent and contributing to the country's semiconductor ecosystem," said CS Chua, President and Managing Director of Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific.

In HCM City, engineering teams focus on the development of automotive Ethernet solutions and automotive microcontrollers, supporting both pre-silicon and post-silicon activities. These technologies are key enablers of software-defined vehicles, advanced driver assistance systems, vehicle connectivity and the broader shift toward intelligent and electrified mobility.

The new office expands Infineon's tech footprint in Việt Nam, building on the engineering team established in Hanoi in 2023 to support semiconductor development and strengthen the country's role in its global innovation network.

Most recently, Infineon has built strategic collaborations with leading Vietnamese innovators, including VinFast and VinRobotics, supporting advancements in electric mobility and intelligent systems.

Through its technologies and local investments, Infineon aims to help establish Việt Nam as a regional hub for semiconductor innovation and excellence. — VNS
