Việt Nam’s rapid progress in digital transformation and education reform reflects its bold vision to become a regional innovation hub.
HÀ NỘI — Coursera Inc., one of the world’s leading online learning platforms, has unveiled several new initiatives aimed at enhancing access to high-quality education in Việt Nam, with a focus on meeting the evolving needs of local learners and institutions.
These efforts include launching a large catalogue of learning content in Vietnamese and AI-powered features to make online learning more personalised and interactive, according to the company.

“We’re proud to support this ambition by expanding access to high-quality education in Vietnamese. Using the power of AI, we’ve translated more than 3,000 courses, giving learners in Việt Nam unprecedented access and flexibility to develop digital skills for the AI era,” he said.
Among the new initiatives Coursera is rolling out in Việt Nam are the Vietnamese translation of more than 3,000 courses, making a wide range of content accessible to local learners; the expansion of its AI-powered Coursera Coach, which offers personalised and interactive support to enhance learning outcomes at scale; the introduction of Coursera Course Builder, an AI-assisted authoring tool that enables businesses, governments or campus customers to produce custom private courses at scale; and a series of new and expanded partnerships.
Learners in Việt Nam are turning to online education at an accelerated pace, with 1.8 million registered learners and 22 per cent year-over-year growth on Coursera. As demand for digital skills grows, Việt Nam is also seeing a sharp rise in GenAI learning. Enrolments for GenAI courses in Việt Nam have reached 152,000 – a 400 per cent year-on-year increase – with one enrolment every four minutes in 2025. — VNS
