HÀ NỘI — VinFast announced on July 11 the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with BatX Energies, India's leading clean technology company with expertise in battery recycling, precious metal recovery and end-of-life battery reuse.

This cooperation lays the foundation for an integrated battery value chain in India, while demonstrating VinFast's strong commitment to developing sustainable electric mobility.

Under the agreement, BatX Energies will provide a comprehensive solution for high voltage (HV) battery recycling, material recovery and battery reuse for VinFast’s factory and aftermarket operations in India. BatX Energies’ process will enable efficient recovery and reintegration of critical materials such as lithium, cobalt and nickel into the battery manufacturing cycle. This approach not only contributes to the circular economy and reduces dependence on mineral extraction, but also minimises environmental impact.

The partnership between VinFast and BatX aims to promote the development of local solutions that are suitable for the rapidly growing electric vehicle market in India. With a common goal of battery life cycle management and environmental protection, VinFast and BatX aim to provide sustainable and scalable solutions that bring practical benefits to people and the planet.  — VNS
