HCM CITY — Responding to the appeal of the Central Committee of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, Wilmar CLV Group has carried out two humanitarian programmes to support communities in northern and central Việt Nam affected by recent storms and floods.

The group has contributed a total of VNĐ15 billion (US$570,076) in cash and essential goods to help residents recover and rebuild their lives.

Between October 31 and November 1, 2025, Wilmar CLV, in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front and local authorities, implemented the programme “Towards the People of Northern Việt Nam”, providing VNĐ10 billion in aid. This included VNĐ4 billion in cash and 10,600 gift packages worth VNĐ6 billion, distributed to residents in Cao Bằng, Lạng Sơn, Thái Nguyên and Bắc Ninh provinces.

In addition, the group is preparing a further donation of VNĐ5 billion, comprising VNĐ2 billion in cash and VNĐ3 billion in goods, to support people who are in flood-stricken areas in the central region.

Each gift package contains essentials such as rice, cooking oil, soy sauce, egg noodles and seasoning, along with home care products under the Power100 brand, including laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, floor cleaner and washing powder. The goods are distributed directly to residents through the provincial Fatherland Front Committees.

Võ Văn Phong, head of Bio Ingredients at Wilmar CLV Group, said the successive storms had caused severe hardship for people in the northern and central regions.

“Fully understanding the extent of the damage and the urgent need for resources to help people to restore their lives, we recognise our responsibility to join hands in supporting the community, helping them to recover and gradually stabilise their livelihoods through the most practical actions.” — VNS
