HCM CITY — VinaCapital Group has released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Annual Report, outlining its initiatives and practices, including how ESG is integrated into investment strategies and the progress made toward achieving its sustainability goals.

Don Lam, CEO and founding partner of VinaCapital, said Việt Nam’s rapid economic growth offers investors a unique opportunity to participate in a market that aspires to be at the forefront of sustainable development.

“VinaCapital strives to support this goal by embedding ESG principles at the core of our investment strategy. By channeling capital into companies and sectors driving innovation, resource efficiency, and inclusive progress, we create value that aligns with Việt Nam’s national priorities and global sustainability standards, positioning our investors at the forefront of transformative growth.”

The third annual report highlights VinaCapital’s achievements like implementing ESG integration across all funds, conducting climate risks and opportunities assessments and strengthening stewardship and engagement with portfolio companies.

This year it developed a medium-term action plan aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), climate action (SDG 13), partnerships for the goals (SDG 17), strong institutions (SDG 16), gender equality (SDG 5), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), and innovation and sustainable infrastructure (SDG 9).

As part of its annual ESG scoring, VinaCapital identified the top 10 companies in its listed investment universe with outstanding ESG performance, setting benchmarks in governance, climate transparency and sector-specific integration.

It also recognised the top five companies showing the greatest improvements in ESG practices over the past year, reflecting a strong commitment to continuous progress and long-term sustainability. — VNS
