HÀ NỘI — Military-run telecom and technology group Viettel won a total of 19 awards at the 2026 Globee Awards for Technology in the US, making it the most awarded technology company at this year's competition.

The achievement also marked the third consecutive year that Viettel has led the awards table, underscoring the growing international recognition of its research, development and technological capabilities.

Viettel received 13 gold, five silver and one bronze award, including 15 Best of Category titles presented to the highest-ranked products and solutions in their respective categories.

The Globee Awards for Technology, formerly known as the IT World Awards, were established in 2006 by the US-based Network Products Guide to recognise outstanding technology products, services and innovations worldwide.

The awards cover areas including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity and information technology infrastructure, with winners selected by an independent panel of technology experts through a transparent evaluation process.

Viettel's awards spanned a broad range of technology fields, including cloud computing, AI, big data, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, digital finance and logistics.

In cloud infrastructure, Viettel IDC secured four awards for its 'Make in Vietnam' products, including the Viettel Virtual Private Cloud service and the Viettel Open Kubernetes Service platform, both designed to meet Việt Nam's data sovereignty requirements.

In AI, the Viettel TESSEL.AI platform, which automates retail operations at more than 200,000 points of sale, and the Viettel Money digital financial platform each received Gold 'Best of Category' awards.

In telecommunications, the iSpectra network interference monitoring system and the Viettel Open Gateway API standardisation platform were recognised for their contributions to connectivity infrastructure development.

Internationally, Viettel Burundi, operating under the Lumitel brand, was honoured for expanding nationwide digital connectivity and developing 4G and 5G mobile broadband infrastructure.

Viettel Post was recognised for its logistics solutions and a drone-based emergency relief project designed to support disaster response.

Other award-winning initiatives included Viettel Skybook, Việt Nam's first Electronic Flight Bag platform for the aviation industry, Viettel IDC's sustainable data centre initiative, and the Outstanding Transformation Leader award presented to a Viettel Digital executive for contributions to advancing financial inclusion in Việt Nam.

According to Viettel, the awards reflect the breadth of its technology ecosystem and reinforce the competitiveness of its 'Make in Viettel' products in international markets.

The group said it will continue investing in research, innovation and core technology development, while expanding digital solutions that support Việt Nam's national digital transformation and strengthening its presence in overseas markets. — BIZHUB
