HCM CITY — Vietjet plans to add 400 flights, equivalent to about 82,000 seats, to meet increased travel demand during the country's National Day holiday, the airline has said.

More than 4,400 flights will operated between August 26 and September 5, covering domestic and international routes, it said.

The additional flights will mainly serve routes linking Hà Nội and HCM City with major economic and tourism centres, including Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang, Phú Quốc, Huế and Đà Lạt.

The airline said it had arranged additional aircraft and operational resources and would deploy more staff at airports during the peak period to support passenger processing.

Vietjet also operates international routes to destinations across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Australia, India and Sri Lanka.

Passengers can check in online through the Vietjet Air or VNeID apps, the airline said.

Meanwhile, Vietjet has been named 'Favourite Low-Cost Carrier' and 'Best Cabin Crew Uniform' in the 2026 Flyers' Choice Awards organised by AirlineRatings.

The awards were based on votes from travellers worldwide, Vietjet said.

Sharon Petersen, CEO of AirlineRatings, said the two awards marked an important point in Vietjet's international recognition, adding that its cabin crew uniform had contributed to the airline's visibility.

Vietjet said the awards reflected the appeal of its brand, network, fleet and fares.

The annual Flyers’ Choice Awards are the only AirlineRatings awards determined entirely by travelers. With around 40,000 verified votes cast in 2026, the awards provide direct insight into the airlines earning travelers’ confidence and loyalty. BIZHUB
