HCM CITY — Vietjet has been recognised in two categories at the Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards 2026, marking its third consecutive year in the ranking and underscoring its commitment to sustainable development and its goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
The airline received awards for 'Outstanding Sustainable Transport' and 'HR Strategy for Sustainable Development' in the annual ranking organised by Nhịp Cầu Đầu Tư Magazine, which evaluates companies based on environmental, social and governance criteria.
At the awards, Vietjet was recognised for its efforts in environmental protection and sustainable development. This year's ranking also included major Vietnamese companies such as FPT, Masan and Mobile World.

The airline has also continued to invest in a new-generation fleet that can reduce fuel use by up to 20 per cent and lower emissions by as much as 38 per cent compared with older aircraft models.
It is also working with partners to research and deploy sustainable aviation fuel as part of its roadmap toward net zero emissions by 2050.
Aside from environmental initiatives, Vietjet employs more than 9,000 staff from 66 countries and territories, with women accounting for 43.55 per cent of its workforce and nearly 30 per cent of management positions.
The carrier has also expanded training programmes through the Vietjet Aviation Academy, which meets European Union Aviation Safety Agency standards and provides training for around 50,000 participants annually, including pilots, cabin crew, engineers and flight dispatchers.
Vietjet said it would continue investing in sustainable development initiatives while expanding connectivity and supporting economic growth and regional integration.
Increasing flight frequency
Separate from the awards, Vietjet said it has increased domestic flight capacity by more than 30 per cent compared with the previous month to accommodate higher summer travel demand.
Additional flights have been added on routes linking Hà Nội and HCM City with popular destinations including Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang, Phú Quốc, Quy Nhơn, Tuy Hòa and Kuala Lumpur.
The carrier said it has expanded resources, strengthened its fleet and deployed additional personnel to improve passenger services at Tân Sơn Nhất and Nội Bài airports during the peak travel period.
It has also increased the use of technology in flight operations and airport services as part of efforts to maintain service quality amid higher passenger volumes.
The airline has also launched a summer promotion offering a 20 per cent discount on selected premium fare classes across its domestic and international network, as it moves to capture rising travel demand during the peak holiday season.
Passengers booking through the Vietjet website or mobile application between now and August 31 can receive a 20 per cent discount on SkyBoss and Business tickets for domestic flights by using the promotional code VJD20.
For international routes, customers can use the code VJIN20 to obtain a 20 per cent discount on Deluxe, SkyBoss and Business fares, excluding taxes and fees. As part of the promotion, passengers will be eligible to receive football-themed gifts and discounts on selected pre-ordered in-flight meal packages, Vietjet said. — BIZHUB
