HÀ NỘI — CMC Corporation has been named a major player in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Vertical AI and Industry Cloud Professional Services 2026-2027 Vendor Assessment, marking a milestone in the Vietnamese technology group's AI-X strategy and its efforts to expand internationally.

The recognition was announced in the IDC MarketScape report, published in October. The assessment evaluates professional services providers operating in the vertical artificial intelligence (AI) and industry cloud markets worldwide.

According to the assessment framework, IDC examines vendors' current capabilities and future strategies through a combination of qualitative and quantitative data, interviews with vendors and clients, and expert analysis.

CMC said the recognition reflected its long-term focus on developing industry-specific AI technologies, strengthening cloud capabilities and expanding its international presence.

The group identifies the combination of in-house industry-specific AI technologies and cloud infrastructure with sovereign credentials as two mutually reinforcing capabilities underpinning its approach.

Its AI technology foundation, C-OpenAI, comprises of more than 25 proprietary technologies covering natural language processing, computer vision, large language models (LLMs), speech processing and data management.

These technologies support two flagship applications designed for use at national scale: a Virtual Legal Assistant, which helps review legal documents for government agencies and enterprises, and a Virtual Citizen Assistant, which provides the public with access to information.

On the cloud front, CMC Cloud serves as a strategic pillar of the group's technology ecosystem. It is designed to support Việt Nam's data sovereignty priorities and provide infrastructure for organisations facing stringent data security and compliance requirements, particularly in the financial services sector.

CMC also points to its industry expertise, regional market knowledge and talent development ecosystem, supported by CMC University, as elements of its ability to develop technology solutions tailored to specific industry requirements.
