HCM CITY — Shinhan Life Insurance Vietnam Limited Liability Company (Shinhan Life Vietnam) has been honoured with the 'Corporate for the Community' title for the second consecutive year at the Saigon Times CSR 2025 Merit Ceremony. The recognition highlights the firm’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development and its long-term work supporting the Vietnamese younger generation.
“We are proud that Shinhan Life Vietnam has been recognised as a 'Corporate for the Community' for the second consecutive time at the reputable Saigon Times merit ceremony. This title is not only a recognition of the efforts of the entire Shinhan Life team but also a strong motivation for us to continue steadfastly with our mission,” said Bae Seung Jun, General Director of Shinhan Life Vietnam.
Jun added that in the coming years, Shinhan Life Vietnam will continue to focus on developing and expanding practical activities and initiatives for the Vietnamese younger generation.
Since its early days of operation, Shinhan Life Vietnam has believed in the sustainable and long-term benefits of investing in the physical and mental well-being of young people, seeing comprehensive youth development as a foundation for the nation’s lasting prosperity. Over the past four years, the company has carried out several initiatives supporting education and health for youth and adolescents, particularly vulnerable children.
The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding and worked closely with SOS Children's Villages Vietnam, providing material support such as playground renovation and donating laptops for studies, alongside spiritual support through the iLead educational programme series, which helps children explore personal values and build self-leadership skills.
Its S-Career orientation programme has attracted more than 2,000 students and 200 teachers over two years, offering essential knowledge and practical experience to help high school students confidently plan future careers.
Meanwhile, the first season of the S-Cellence scholarship programme received nearly 200 applications. Each scholarship is worth VNĐ10 million, and recipients are also offered a one-month internship at Shinhan Life Vietnam before entering the job market after graduation.
In terms of healthcare support, Shinhan Life Vietnam has donated hospital fees totalling VNĐ750 million to date, providing timely assistance to 60 child patients with blood cancer, and offering thousands of meals to the families of child patients.
Receiving the 'Corporate for the Community' title for the second year running reaffirms the company’s commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility, consistent with its business strategy in its fifth year of operation.
With the theme 'Toward a Sustainable Society,' the 2025 programme emphasised the importance of balanced development across economic growth, environmental protection and social equity. The title recognises Shinhan Life Vietnam’s practical contributions to improving quality of life in Việt Nam, especially in education and health support for young people and adolescents. — VNS
