HÀ NỘI — A project aimed at collecting feedback from businesses and turn proposals arising from business operations into recommendations for policymakers was launched in Hà Nội on Thursday. 

The launch followed an agreement signed the same day between the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and private conglomerate TH Group to establish a regular channel for businesses to raise regulatory problems and policy proposals with the Government.

TH Group is the first private company selected as a founding partner of the project, VCCI said.

VCCI chairman Hồ Sỹ Hùng said the initiative would create a regular channel for communication between businesses and the Government and help policymakers respond more quickly to issues arising from business operations.

The project was developed in response to tasks assigned by Prime Minister under Government directives, according to VCCI deputy secretary general Đậu Anh Tuấn.

The initiative seeks to move beyond addressing individual business difficulties towards identifying policy changes that can support broader economic development, Tuan said.

Under the agreement, TH Group will work with VCCI to support a permanent task force and a network of experts.

The project will focus on two areas: identifying and monitoring regulatory obstacles facing businesses and following up with relevant agencies on their resolution; and collecting proposals from businesses and developing them into policy recommendations for the prime minister and other policymaking bodies. —VNS
