Meta is supporting Việt Nam’s “Not Alone” campaign with school-based activities and teacher training to help young people recognise online risks and develop safer digital habits.
HÀ NỘI — Meta is supporting the Ministry of Public Security-led “Not Alone” campaign to improve online safety for young people, through interactive activities for students and digital literacy training for teachers.
The programme includes Digital Dialogue IRL, an interactive learning experience for students at Đoàn Thị Điểm Lower Secondary School in Hà Nội. It covers healthy screen habits, managing social media feeds, social comparison, the impact of likes and ways to recognise and respond to cyberbullying.
“We are helping students gain a clearer understanding of online risks, including cyberbullying, psychological pressure and harmful content, while reinforcing an important message: young people can always turn to trusted support from their families, schools and communities,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đặng Quốc Thông, chairman of the Board of Đoàn Thị Điểm Lower Secondary School.
Separately, Meta is working with the Vietnet Information Technology and Communication Centre (Vietnet-ICT) to train 100 teachers from five to seven provinces. The programme aims to reach 50 schools, 20,000 students and 20,000 parents through classroom sessions, school-wide activities and peer learning.
The training will provide teachers with materials and practical activities to help students develop safer online habits and encourage cooperation between schools and families.
“This is more than just an event. It is a space for adults to truly listen to teens, and for them to learn how to protect themselves online,” said Nguyễn Thị Khánh Vân, representative of the Secretariat of the Digital Trust Alliance.
In September 2026, Meta introduced parental supervision tools for Threads in Việt Nam, allowing parents to monitor screen time, set daily limits and manage certain privacy and content settings.
In October, the company also introduced parental supervision tools for Meta AI, enabling parents to review their teenagers’ content settings and see the topics they have asked the AI assistant about over the previous seven days. — BIZHUB
