Hours after the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghệ An issued an urgent appeal for relief on 23 July 2025, GO! Vinh supermarket under Central Retail Việt Nam quickly prepared 200 essential aid packages.
HÀ NỘI — Prolonged heavy rain brought by Storm Wipha (Storm No. 3) has triggered flash floods and widespread inundation across Nghệ An Province in recent days, causing severe damage to lives and property.
Just hours after the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghệ An Province issued an emergency appeal for relief on Wednesday evening, 2025, the GO! Vinh supermarket (a member of Central Retail Vietnam) swiftly mobilised its staff and prepared 200 essential aid packages.
These included bottled water, canned milk, instant noodles and sterilised sausages — items suitable for immediate use in areas without electricity, water or cooking equipmentT.
On Thursday, the GO! Vinh relief team, in coordination with local authorities, navigated submerged roads to hand-deliver the 200 relief packages to residents of Châu Khê Commune, one of the areas hardest hit by the floods.
Nguyễn Thị Bích Vân, communications director of Central Retail Vietnam, said: “We hope these essential supplies will help flood-affected residents get through this difficult period. We are continuing to work closely with local authorities to implement further support activities.” — BIZHUB
