HCM CITY — FV Hospital, a member of Singapore’s Thomson Medical Group, has unveiled a new slogan, “A Standard of Medical Excellence,” 23 years after starting to deliver international quality healthcare in Việt Nam under its philosophy of “Trust in Medical Ethics”. 

Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon, FV Hospital’s founder and CEO, noted that the hospital, the first foreign-owned in southern Việt Nam, was established with a vision of becoming a leading healthcare provider in Asia and has worked to meet rigorous international standards.

Medical excellence is built on highly qualified doctors, rigorous quality and patient safety standards, professionally trained healthcare teams, a patient-centred approach, advanced medical technology, continuous training, and a safe working environment, he said.

But these standards only hold true value when independently verified by reputable, internationally recognised third parties, he said.

In 2007, it became the first hospital in Việt Nam to receive France’s HAS certification, followed by the prestigious Joint Commission International accreditation in 2016 for its high standards of healthcare quality and patient safety.

Guillon said FV had also pioneered a patient-centred approach, designing its facilities around the patient journey and training doctors, nurses, and administrative staff in communication and service.

FV has consistently invested in advanced medical technology, including a US$3.1M da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system, a $500k Brain Navigation system, and a $2.2M 3.0T MRI scanner.

The hospital has also signed a contract to purchase the CyberKnife S7 robotic radiosurgery system, the first AI-integrated technology of its kind in Southeast Asia for non-invasive cancer treatment.

Nguyễn Thị Lệ Thu, director of marketing and business development, said the new positioning built on FV’s long-standing “Trust in Medical Ethics” philosophy and reflected the values patients experience when choosing the hospital.

She added that these values are expressed through three pillars: accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and exceptional value.

Looking ahead, FV will break ground on its $50 million Building H in October 2026 to expand treatment centres for cancer, gastroenterology, and hepatology while advancing specialised services like kidney transplantation and IVF.

FV aims to achieve international medical tourism certification in Q1 2027, further supporting HCM City’s goal to become a regional healthcare destination. — VNS
