FPT shops get a jolt of green power

V-Green and FPT Retail on Tuesday signed an MoU to deploy electric vehicle charging stations and VinFast electric motorbike battery swap points across FPT Shop outlets nationwide.

HÀ NỘI — In a deal that’s bound to spark change, V-Green and FPT Retail signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and VinFast electric motorbike battery swap points at FPT Shop outlets across the country.

Starting November 2025, the rollout will see store spaces franchised or leased depending on site conditions, turning retail locations into dual-purpose convenience hubs. The initiative taps into FPT Retail’s expansive nationwide footprint and V-Green’s technical expertise in EV infrastructure, aiming to ease access to charging services—particularly in Việt Nam’s largest cities.

V-Green is charging ahead with ambitious goals: the company plans to establish 150,000 battery swap points within three years, adding to its existing 150,000 charging ports across 34 provinces. A franchise model will accelerate this expansion.

Company leaders reaffirmed their joint commitment to promoting green transportation and supporting Việt Nam’s Net Zero 2050 ambitions. — VNS
