HÀ NỘI — Emall Vietnam, which owns 100 Pierre Cardin stores nationwide, has acquired the Pierre Cardin retail system in Canada, with operations expected to be rolled out in 2026.
Phạm Minh Thắng, CEO of Emall Vietnam, told Việt Nam News and Law that the company has purchased ownership of the company's assets, brand rights, the distribution network and personnel. He did not disclose the value of the deal.
The announcement was made after Emall Vietnam completed all procedures for the Canadian acquisition, concluding a nine-year pursuit. Earlier, in May, the company acquired a system of 28 Pierre Cardin Shoes stores in Thailand.

According to Emall, taking over the brand’s operating rights in Canada is part of its strategy to expand into overseas markets and build a long-term presence in the retail sector. Canada is considered a market with high requirements for brand governance, transparency, and service standards, particularly for international fashion labels.
Observers note that as Vietnamese companies accelerate overseas expansion, acquisitions and takeovers of distribution systems in developed markets reflect a growing trend of deeper participation in the value chain among private enterprises.
Emall is an authorised partner of Pierre Cardin Paris for manufacturing and regional market development. After more than a decade of cooperation, the company has exported Pierre Cardin shoes produced in Việt Nam to markets including Thailand, France, India, Mexico and Brazil.
