Be Group said driver-partners’ income rose more than 200 per cent during 2021–25 as it expanded welfare and education support programmes nationwide.
HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese technology company Be Group has released a five-year impact report and launched the beScholar 2026 scholarship programme, expanding support initiatives for its driver partners and their families as competition intensifies in the country’s ride-hailing and delivery market.
The company said the programmes form part of broader efforts to improve income stability and welfare for more than 500,000 partners on its platform.
According to the report, total income earned by BE driver partners rose by more than 200 per cent during the 2021-25 period, supported by the expansion of the platform’s services and additional earning opportunities.
More than 50 per cent of beBike drivers now generate income from at least three services, including beBike, beFood and beDelivery, while around 30 per cent earn income from two services.
About 23 per cent of beCar drivers also receive additional income through car rental and inter-provincial transport services.
The report also highlighted driver retention rates, with around half of partners remaining on the platform for at least two years and nearly 20 per cent having worked with BE for more than five years.
Be Group said all trips on the platform are covered by insurance.
The company’s BE5X welfare programme, developed with partners including VPBank, BYD and PVOIL, provides discounts on fuel, vehicles and consumer services as well as access to formal financing channels.
According to Be Group, the programme helps partners save between VNĐ3 million and VNĐ10 million annually.
Alongside the report, the company launched beScholar 2026, a scholarship programme for children of driver partners and home-cleaning service partners.
The programme has an annual budget of up to VNĐ1 billion and offers scholarships worth between VNĐ500,000 and VNĐ6 million for students with strong academic performance or difficult circumstances.
Be Group said it plans to continue expanding both the BE5X and beScholar programmes during 2026-27 through partnerships with domestic and international organisations. — BIZHUB
