HÀ NỘI — Vingroup on March 31 announced the extension of its special support programme encouraging customers to transition from  gasoline-powered vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs) through April 30, 2026.

The initiative is designed to help alleviate the impact of fuel supply constraints and rising gasoline prices, while reinforcing the Group’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development.

Amid ongoing challenges disrupting global fuel markets and affecting users of fossil fuel-powered transportation, Vingroup will continue its 'Trade Gas for Electric' programme across four key markets: Việt Nam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. In parallel, the company will maintain a 10 per cent fare reduction for electric mobility services operated by GSM in Việt Nam, Indonesia and Laos.

Under the program, customers who switch from gasoline vehicles to VinFast electric vehicles in the four markets will receive additional incentives, including a 3 per cent discount on electric cars and a 5 per cent discount on electric motorcycles. These benefits are offered in conjunction with other existing promotional programs.

For customers using electric ride-hailing services, all trips with Xanh SM in Việt Nam and Green SM in Indonesia and Laos will continue to be offered at a 10 per cent discounted fare.

Rising fuel costs, combined with Vingroup’s customer-focused incentives, have contributed to strong growth across its green mobility ecosystem.

On March 28, 2026, VinFast recorded 3,520 electric vehicle orders completed in a single day equivalent to approximately 2.4 vehicles processed and ready for factory dispatch per minute.

This milestone underscores VinFast’s manufacturing and operational capabilities, as well as the accelerating global shift toward electric mobility. — VNS
