VinFast launches electric scooter with removable batteries

HÀ NỘI — VinFast has launched two new smart electric scooters, the Evo Grand and Evo Grand Lite.

Both models feature sleek designs and support for up to two removable 2.4kWh batteries, a setup that offers a maximum range of 262km per charge. Prices start from just VNĐ18 million (approximately US$700).

The Evo Grand has a 2,250W rear hub motor with a top speed of 70km/h, while the Evo Grand Lite features a 1,900W motor limited to 48km/h, ideal for students and non-licensed riders.

Each Evo Grand includes a 2.4kWh battery for up to 134km of range. Adding a second battery boosts the range to 262km. The Evo Grand Lite comes with a 1.2kWh battery (70km range), with an upgrade option to 2.4kWh for up to 198km.

Pre-orders begin July 24 at authorised dealers. The Evo Grand is priced at VNĐ21 million, the Lite at VNĐ18 million, and the extra battery at VNĐ5 million. — VNS
