HÀ NỘI — The Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) aims to achieve consolidated revenue of VNĐ95.8 trillion (US$3.7 billion) by 2030, nearly 46 per cent higher than the estimated VNĐ65.5 trillion in 2026.

Under its 2026-2030 plan, the group targets total consolidated revenue of nearly VNĐ400 trillion and cumulative pre-tax profit of VNĐ19.3 trillion over the five years. Pre-tax profit is expected to reach more than VNĐ5 trillion in 2030.

The parent company is projected to post revenue of nearly VNĐ2 trillion and pre-tax profit of VNĐ950 billion in 2030, with more than VNĐ2 trillion in investment from its development fund during the five-year period.

A key focus of the strategy is to expand into deeper processing and higher value-added products. Alongside basic chemicals and fertilisers, Vinachem plans to develop high-purity chemicals for the food, healthcare, pharmaceutical, electronics and semiconductor sectors, as well as next-generation fertilisers, pharmaceutical chemicals, technical rubber, energy-storage batteries, advanced materials and clean-energy products.

The group also plans to increase investment in research, technology application and technology transfer. It is studying the establishment of a Vietnam Chemical Technology Research and Development Centre and plans to expand cooperation with scientific and technological organisations and financial institutions at home and abroad.

Vinachem is also considering the development of concentrated chemical complexes and industrial parks with infrastructure designed to meet safety and environmental requirements.

Technology renewal, digital transformation and green transition will be among its priorities from 2026 to 2030, together with efforts to strengthen raw material self-sufficiency and develop core technologies.

Existing businesses will continue to account for a large share of production. By 2030, Vinachem targets 4.21 million tonnes of fertilisers and nearly 20 million tyres, while battery output is expected to reach 3.71 million kWh.

Production targets for detergents, apatite ore and basic chemicals are 395,000 tonnes, more than 2.3 million tonnes and 475,000 tonnes, respectively.

Vinachem also aims to rank among Southeast Asia's 500 companies with the highest revenue and profits by 2030. Fortune ranked the group 148th among the region's 500 largest companies in 2026. — BIZHUB
