HÀ NỘI — Vietnam Airlines and the National Innovation Centre (NIC) on Tuesday signed a co-operation agreement aimed at accelerating science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation across the aviation sector as the industry faces growing pressure to modernise operations and improve passenger experience.
Under the agreement, the two sides will jointly implement programmes on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in line with Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, as well as Vietnam Airlines’ science and technology development strategy and digital transformation roadmap for the 2025-30 period.
The partnership will focus on expanding the use of technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), big data and automation in management, operations, engineering, commercial activities and customer services. Through the co-operation with NIC, Vietnam Airlines aims to strengthen links with the wider innovation ecosystem, including experts, start-ups, technology partners and investors in Việt Nam and overseas.
The collaboration is also expected to provide a stronger foundation for the national flag carrier to boost innovation capacity, accelerate digital transformation and widen the application of technology across its operations, supporting its long-term ambition of becoming a leading digital airline in the region. — BIZHUB
