HÀ NỘI — The Vietnam–Laos Trade Fair 2026 (VIETLAO EXPO 2026) will be held in Vientiane from July 16 to 20, as the two countries seek to deepen bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Organised annually since 2007 by the ministries of Industry and Trade of Việt Nam and Laos, the event has become the largest bilateral trade promotion fair between the two countries and a key platform for facilitating trade, investment and business partnerships.

This year's edition will feature around 250 exhibition booths representing businesses from both countries. Việt Nam will be represented by 70 companies and organisations, occupying 120 booths. Exhibitors include national brand-recognised enterprises as well as major manufacturers in sectors such as industrial production, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Laos has long been considered an attractive export market for Vietnamese products due to its geographic proximity, competitive transport costs and the two countries' longstanding economic ties. Vietnamese products, including processed foods, consumer goods, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and agricultural products, have established a presence in the Lao market.

The fair will also host the Việt Nam–Laos business connecting seminar 2026, where companies from both countries are expected to exchange market information, explore business partnerships, discuss investment opportunities and expand distribution networks. — VNS
