Vicostone said slowing global economic growth and persistently high interest rates in its key export markets weighed on demand for surface materials during the period.

HÀ NỘI — Engineered stone manufacturer Vicostone said it continued to strengthen its distribution network, expand market and tighten risk management in the first half of 2026 as it navigated weaker demand in export markets and broader global economic uncertainty.

The company estimated consolidated net revenue of VNĐ1.63 trillion (US$62.4 million) in the first six months of 2026, down 23.5 per cent from a year earlier, while pre-tax profit fell 30.8 per cent to VNĐ310 billion.

Vicostone said slowing global economic growth and persistently high interest rates in its key export markets weighed on demand for surface materials during the period. In contrast, domestic demand for construction and project completion showed signs of gradual improvement, supporting the company's operations.

The company said it had proactively adjusted inventory levels to improve working capital efficiency while ensuring its ability to meet customer orders. It also strengthened management of trade receivables as part of its efforts to mitigate risks amid market volatility.

Looking ahead, Vicostone said it would continue investing in research and development of new products, targeting growing demand for environmentally friendly materials while expanding its domestic distribution network.

The company said it expects lower oil prices and easing international freight costs to reduce pressure on production and export expenses in the coming months. However, it warned that global trade policies and geopolitical tensions continue to pose risks to the business environment.

The company said it would closely monitor market developments, assess potential impacts and maintain a cautious and flexible operating strategy to respond to changing conditions. — VNS
