HCM CITY — UNIQLO has announced it will officially open its UNIQLO AEON MALL Thanh Hóa store at AEON MALL Thanh Hóa on October 15, marking the brand's first presence in Thanh Hóa.

This marks UNIQLO’s 33rd store in Việt Nam.

Located on the ground floor of AEON MALL Thanh Hóa in Quảng Phú Ward, Thanh Hóa City, the UNIQLO store features a sales floor area of approximately 1,000 square metres, offering a wide range of essential LifeWear apparel for men, women and children.

To mark the opening of UNIQLO AEON MALL Thanh Hóa, UNIQLO is introducing a UTme! T-shirt collection inspired by the local lifestyle and signature specialities, such as Sầm Sơn Beach and Thanh Hóa’s fermented pork rolls (nem chua). Through these youthful and relatable designs, UNIQLO aims to share and celebrate local culture.

Akiyama Naoki, general director of UNIQLO Vietnam, said: “UNIQLO aims to build a long-term partnership with Thanh Hóa and Việt Nam through its business operations, creating job opportunities, developing the retail workforce, and contributing tangible value to the community. This is a commitment we will continue to pursue as we continue our growth journey in Việt Nam.”

UNIQLO’s strategy to expand its store network into Thanh Hóa coincides with a period of robust transformation in the local commercial and retail sectors. Consumer activity continues to grow, with total retail sales of goods and commercial service revenue rising 22 per cent year-on-year in the first eight months of 2026.

Alongside this consumer market growth, Thanh Hóa also boasts significant economic ties with Japan. As of the end of 2025, Japan was the largest foreign investor in the province, accounting for over 82.5 per cent of total FDI, thereby fostering an ideal environment for Japanese brands to expand and establish a long-term presence. — BIZHUB
