HÀ NỘI — Toyota Việt Nam is recalling 563 Land Cruiser Prado vehicles to update the instrument cluster software after identifying a fault that could prevent warning lights from being displayed.

The recall covers vehicles manufactured between July 17, 2024, and June 23, 2025, that are equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Toyota said a software defect could cause the 3D graphic display area of the instrument cluster to fail when the vehicle is started.

If the problem occurs, important warning lights, including engine oil pressure, engine coolant temperature, charging system and other warning messages, may not be displayed, potentially preventing drivers from receiving critical vehicle status information.

Toyota will inspect affected vehicles and update the instrument cluster software free of charge. The repair is expected to take between 0.9 and 1.6 hours.

The automaker urged owners of affected Land Cruiser Prado vehicles to contact authorised Toyota dealers for the update.

Toyota Việt Nam said it would also provide free inspections and software updates for privately imported Land Cruiser Prado vehicles that are covered by the global recall campaign.

Customers can check whether their vehicles are affected by entering the vehicle identification number (VIN) on Toyota Việt Nam's official website, contacting authorised dealerships nationwide or calling the company's customer service hotline.  — VNS
