HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s robot vacuum market recorded strong growth, with total revenue reaching VNĐ2.4 trillion (US$92.5 million) from July 2025 to June 2026. The shift in consumer preferences has driven strong growth in the premium segment, with Chinese brands maintaining a dominant position.

According to data from market research firm GfK, market revenue increased 137.6 per cent year on year over the past 12 months. The fastest-growing segment comprised products priced above VNĐ15 million, equipped with advanced roller-mopping technology and high suction power.

Ecovacs currently leads the market, accounting for 34 per cent of market share by value and 31.8 per cent by volume. It is followed by Xiaomi, Roborock and Dreame, reflecting the dominance of Chinese manufacturers, which account for more than 90 per cent of the total market.

Local distributor Hợp Long forecasts that Ecovacs sales could reach 120,000 units this year, generating total revenue of more than VNĐ1.2 trillion.

Consumer shopping habits for smart home appliances have changed significantly compared with the period before 2022.

Previously, consumers tended to favour lower-priced models costing around VNĐ5 million. Today, they are increasingly willing to spend more than VNĐ10 million on models equipped with functions such as automatic mop washing and floor mopping.

Models offering only traditional vacuuming functions have almost disappeared from consumers’ shopping choices.

Despite its impressive growth, the robot vacuum category remains relatively small compared with Việt Nam’s overall home-appliance market, which is worth tens of billions of US dollars.
