HCM CITY — The 8th annual Phú Mỹ Hưng Green Living Day is set to take place on August 9 at Crescent Lake Park, Tân Hưng Ward, HCM City. 

The event, which is organised by Phu My Hung Development Corporation, is expected to draw in residents from both Phú Mỹ Hưng City Centre and HCM City.

This year, the event, now in its eighth year, carries the theme “Live Green – Live Healthy”, with the goal of promoting eco-friendly lifestyles and enhancing community awareness around environmental protection.

A variety of activities will be featured during the festival, including the exchange of used batteries, books, and comics for eco-friendly gifts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops focusing on home gardening and greenery, exploring innovative methods for cultivating plants in limited spaces.

For the younger participants, a dedicated playground will offer balance bikes made from recycled materials and crafting activities using repurposed items.

One of the highlights will be the eco-exhibition zone, presenting imaginative displays and miniature landscapes made from recycled materials. These displays are intended to inspire sustainable practices and creative reuse within the community.

To add an artistic touch, a special concert titled “Rejoice and Refuse” will be held at 7pm. The evening will showcase works by renowned Vietnamese composers such as Trịnh Công Sơn, Văn Cao and Phạm Duy, intertwining art with environmental awareness.
