HÀ NỘI — Series of events marking the National Digital Transformation Day 2026 are taking place from October 8 to 10 at the National Exhibition Centre (VEC) in Hà Nội.

The events feature a wide range of activities, forums and specialised exhibitions focused on digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) and smart cities.

With the theme "From architecture, platforms, and data to tangible results and enhanced national governance efficiency", this year’s event emphasises the transition from merely building architecture, platforms and data to effectively leveraging digital resources. The goal is to generate concrete, measurable outcomes in governance, administration, socio-economic development and service delivery for citizens and businesses.

A highlight of the programme is the commemorative ceremony for the National Digital Transformation Day (October 10), held on the morning of October 9, 2026. The event focuses on reviewing key achievements in national digital transformation while sharing lessons learned, as well as innovative and breakthrough models and practices from government agencies, localities, organisations, businesses and individuals.

As part of the event series, the Digital Transformation and Smart City Exhibition serves as a showcase for technology products, platforms,and solutions. Featuring over 200 booths, the exhibition creates a space for connecting regulatory bodies, local authorities, businesses and the technology community.

A key professional event is the High-Level Forum on National Digital Transformation, which focuses on critical topics such as digital government and next-generation public services, AI applications in governance, secure and trusted data, the digital economy, the digital society and the enhancement of national digital capabilities.

The forum brings together regulators, experts and technology businesses, including VNPT, Viettel and TikTok, to discuss data-driven governance, digital transformation, platform development and digital skills.

Three thematic forums – including the Vietnam Next & Smart City Asia Forum; the Digital Technology and AI in the Creative Economy Forum; and the Future Smart City – Smart Agent City Forum – will also examine emerging technologies, smart cities, AI, data use and innovation ecosystems, strengthening links among regulators, businesses, experts and the tech community.

The activities marking National Digital Transformation Day aim to share effective solutions and promote the use of digital platforms and data for governance and socio-economic development.

Since 2022, October 10 has been designated as the National Digital Transformation Day under the Prime Minister's Decision No. 505/QĐ-TTg, aiming to raise awareness, accelerate the implementation of key tasks and mobilise the concerted participation of the entire political system. — BIZHUB/VNS
