King’s College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City to open


King’s College School, Wimbledon has partnered with Millennia Education to open a new school in HCM City, aiming to expand access to international-standard education and support Việt Nam’s growing education sector.

HCM CITY — King’s College School, Wimbledon, one of the world’s leading schools, has partnered with Millennia Education to establish a new school in HCM City, providing high quality education and strengthening the country’s position in the regional landscape. 

Accordingly, King’s College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City, which extends nearly 200 years of King’s excellence into Việt Nam, is set to open in August 2027, offering a full educational journey for boys and girls aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten through to secondary school.  

William Lawrenson, British Deputy Consul General in HCM City, said at the press conference: “The launch of King’s in Việt Nam reflects the growing partnership between the UK and Việt Nam in education. It highlights the value of British education in Việt Nam and a continued commitment to delivering the highest standards to the country.” 

The school in HCM City will be governed and quality assured directly by King’s College School, Wimbledon to ensure an authentic King’s education. This includes involvement in curriculum design, teacher recruitment and professional development, pastoral care, and enrichment initiatives. 

King’s College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City is located in The Global City. The nearly two-hectare campus, designed by Broadway Malyan, includes facilities for academic, sports and arts activities.

These include a 7-a-side football field, indoor sports halls, a 25-metre indoor swimming pool and learner pool for kindergarten pupils, science laboratories, a 500-seat theatre, outdoor learning spaces, and facilities for performing and creative arts.

King’s College School, Wimbledon was founded in 1829 as the junior department of King’s College London. The school educates around 1,500 pupils aged seven to 18 and offers GCSE, A level and International Baccalaureate programmes. The school has expanded its network of partner schools across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. — BIZHUB
