As one of Northern Việt Nam’s largest seaports and a major logistics hub, Hải Phòng Port manages thousands of vessel calls and high cargo volumes annually.
HẢI PHÒNG — Hải Phòng Port Joint Stock Company (PHP), a member of Việt Nam Maritime Corporation (VIMC), in partnership with FPT Corporation, have announced the deployment of the FPT CFS solution, a platform that automates financial closing, reporting and consolidation.
This marks a key step in Hải Phòng Port’s digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, transparency and alignment with international financial standards.
As one of Northern Việt Nam’s largest seaports and a major logistics hub, Hải Phòng Port manages thousands of vessel calls and high cargo volumes annually. With complex domestic and international transactions, the port requires precise and timely reconciliation to ensure accurate consolidated reporting for both the company and VIMC.
The FPT CFS system automates most closing and reporting processes, significantly reducing manual work, speeding up data aggregation, and improving report accuracy. FPT experts customized the system to Hai Phong Port’s unique accounting operations while ensuring full compatibility with VIMC’s consolidation standards.
The solution establishes a scalable, technology-driven workflow, enabling faster, reliable, and consistent financial reporting.
Nguyễn Tường Anh, General Director of Hai Phong Port, said: "Digital transformation in finance and accounting is a priority for us. Implementing FPT CFS is a major step in improving our financial management, meeting increasing demands for timely and accurate reporting as cargo volumes grow and logistics chains evolve."
Hoàng Hữu Chiến, FPT Group Chief Accountant, added: "Our experience with VIMC allowed us to implement the system efficiently at Hai Phong Port. This collaboration lays a strong foundation for modern, transparent and sustainable financial management in the port sector."
The successful launch of FPT CFS at Hai Phong Port demonstrates a coordinated financial digitisation strategy from VIMC to its member companies. It strengthens governance, optimises operations, and positions the port to adopt emerging technologies such as AI, Big Data, and predictive analytics. — VNS
