ĐỒNG NAI — Central Retail Vietnam officially inaugurated the GO! Đồng Nai shopping mall on January 22 on Hà Nội Highway, Long Hưng Ward, Đồng Nai Province, marking the launch of one of the most modern shopping centres in the locality.

GO! Đồng Nai has been redeveloped with a total investment of VNĐ252 billion (US$9.6 million), including nearly VNĐ200 billion ($7.6 million) allocated to renovation and upgrading.

Developed under a multi-functional retail model encompassing shopping, dining, learning, entertainment and sustainability, GO! Đồng Nai features a GO! Hypermarket alongside more than 50 well-known brands across various sectors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Thai Consul-General in HCM City Wiraka Moodhitaporn said the launch of GO! Đồng Nai comes at a particularly meaningful time, as 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Việt Nam, while also opening a new chapter following the upgrade of bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, said the opening of GO! Đồng Nai carries special significance. Since receiving its operating licence in 1996, Cora Đồng Nai – later renamed Big C Đồng Nai and now GO! Đồng Nai – was the country’s first and most modern hypermarket at the time.

Today, GO! Đồng Nai has officially opened with a more modern appearance, offering a greater shopping experience for customers. This transformation reflects Central Retail’s long-term commitment to improving service standards and contributing positively to the socio-economic development of Đồng Nai Province, he added.

In support of small- and medium-sized enterprises nationwide, Central Retail and GO! Đồng Nai have designated a dedicated area within the supermarket to promote OCOP (One Commune One Product) items from across the country, enabling consumers to purchase regional specialties for the upcoming Lunar New Year. — VNS
