HCM CITY — GE HealthCare has launched its first Invenia™ ABUS Prime automated breast ultrasound system in Việt Nam, delivering high-precision and in-depth diagnostic capabilities, especially for patients with dense breasts.

The system integrates the latest 3D ultrasound technology and advanced artificial intelligence (AI), along with multiple features that support early breast cancer detection and improve the patient experience.

It is GE HealthCare’s latest automated breast ultrasound system, approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a supplemental screening tool for women with dense breasts who are twice as likely to develop breast cancer.

Clinical studies have shown that the system can increase breast cancer detection rates by 55 per cent. Its introduction comes at a critical time in Việt Nam, where breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, accounting for 25.8 per cent of female cancer cases, according to GLOBOCAN 2022.

It improves detection and patient comfort using non-invasive ultrasound with no contrast agents or radiation. A curved 15.3 cm transducer fits the breast’s shape, and adjustable compression makes the exam more comfortable.

Powered by cSound™ Imageformer, it provides clear, high-resolution images by focusing on every pixel, helping clinicians make more accurate decisions throughout the breast care process. — BIZHUB
