HÀ NỘI — FPT Software and CISD, the IT strategy company of Japan's Itochu Corporation Group, have launched the Global Tech Center, a joint innovation organisation aimed at accelerating digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across Itochu's global businesses.

The center marks a new phase in the partnership between the two companies, moving beyond a traditional outsourcing model to operate as a virtual in-house IT organization. Under the arrangement, FPT Software and CISD will work with shared development standards, quality frameworks, and operating processes, combining Itochu's industry expertise with FPT's global engineering capabilities.

The initiative builds on the partners' longstanding collaboration in SAP systems and broadens its scope to AI- and data-driven transformation across the Itochu Group.

The Global Tech Center will roll out AI capabilities in three phases. The first phase will establish a secure AI platform that keeps enterprise data separate from external AI services. The second phase will integrate AI into key business functions, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), application management, and business process outsourcing (BPO). The final phase envisions an enterprise AI platform that supports daily operations and management decision-making through natural language interactions.

According to the partners, the center is expected to strengthen Itochu's digital capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate AI adoption across the group's global business ecosystem. — VNS
