Experts call on stakeholders to tighten co-operation in order to have practical digital transformation.
HCM CITY — Businesses, their partners and technology teams must work together to ensure digital transformation delivers practical results, experts said at an event in HCM City on Thursday.
The event marked SiS Technologies Vietnam Co Ltd, a member of SiS Group, becoming an authorised Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) two-tier distributor in Việt Nam.
Experts said digital transformation has become a priority for Vietnamese businesses seeking to strengthen their competitiveness and respond to changing customer needs. Data and artificial intelligence (AI) can help improve efficiency and decision-making, but businesses should first identify the problems they need to solve and select appropriate technologies, they said.
According to SiS Technologies Vietnam, many businesses still face difficulties incorporating new technologies into daily operations. Data is often spread across disconnected systems, making it harder to consolidate information, monitor operations and make decisions.
Limited budgets and specialist expertise, as well as inconsistent internal processes, can also reduce the returns on technology investments.
Some businesses have not clearly defined their needs, resulting in technology choices or implementations that fail to meet expectations, the company said.
A gap between technology knowledge and understanding of business operations can also lead to solutions that do not address practical needs.
As businesses expand their use of cloud platforms, hybrid work and AI, they also need to address data quality, access rights and information security.
According to the company, security and data governance should be built into systems from the outset, with clear rules for data classification, use and access, as well as compliance with regulations on personal data and information security.
A SiS Technologies Vietnam representative said technology vendors and implementation partners should support partners in developing their expertise and services, in addition to providing solutions to customers.
The company said its appointment as a Microsoft CSP two-tier distributor would help businesses access solutions suited to their needs, including infrastructure modernisation, cloud and hybrid migration, data platforms, AI and cybersecurity. Its portfolio includes Microsoft products and services such as Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, Teams, GitHub, Copilot, Fabric and Purview.
Somchai, CEO of SiS Thailand, said Việt Nam had strong potential and a high rate of technology adoption, with data and AI creating new opportunities for growth.
The company would work with its partner network to bring technology to businesses and support practical outcomes, he said.
SiS Technologies Vietnam said it would provide training, implementation advice and post-deployment support to help partners and customers build in-house capabilities and make better use of their technology investments.
Chi Trần, co-founder of SiS Technologies Vietnam, shared: "Our goal is to invest in building a strong team and to help local partners steadily expand their ability to deliver a wide range of cloud migration services – from automation, Data/AI, on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments to AI-driven security management – creating real value with the most cost-effective investment model. — BIZHUB
