HÀ NỘI — Ride-hailing platform operator Be Group has signed a strategic partnership with YADEA Vietnam to expand the supply of electric motorcycles for its driving partners, as demand for two-wheel ride-hailing services continues to grow.

The agreement aims to make it easier for Be drivers to access electric motorcycles, while reducing upfront investment costs through preferential purchase and after-sales support programmes.

Under the agreement, Be drivers purchasing eligible YADEA electric motorcycles will receive incentives and support worth up to VNĐ5 million (US$190).

Beyond vehicle sales, the two companies plan to develop a broader support ecosystem for electric motorcycle drivers. This includes integrating the locations of YADEA battery-swapping stations and service centres into the Be app, while connecting vehicle manufacturers, rental providers and charging and battery-swapping operators to improve access to supporting infrastructure.

The companies also plan to share data on drivers' vehicle usage to help YADEA refine future products for Việt Nam's ride-hailing market.

The partnership comes as demand for two-wheel ride-hailing services remains strong in Việt Nam.

A May 2025 report by market research firm Cimigo found that Vietnamese consumers use super apps an average of five times a week, with motorcycle ride-hailing, food delivery and online shopping the most frequently accessed services.

According to the company, more than 500,000 drivers currently operate on the Be platform. Be cited an internal five-year impact report showing that its two-wheel driver base has increased by 584 per cent over the past five years, while average driver income has risen by 211 per cent.

More than half of its motorcycle drivers now use a single vehicle to provide three different services on the platform.

Be Group said the collaboration with YADEA would help meet rising demand for vehicles while supporting the broader adoption of electric motorcycles among its driver community. — BIZHUB
