ĐỒNG NAI --  Amway Vietnam has launched a 'Border Bamboo Hedge' project in Đồng Nai Province in cooperation with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, aiming to promote environmental protection and improve livelihoods in border communities.

The initiative aligns with Amway’s sustainable development goals and its global 'Live Healthy, Live Happy' strategy, which emphasises a healthy living environment as a foundation of holistic wellbeing.

Under the programme, 11,000 bamboo saplings will be planted across 10 hectares in Lộc Thạnh Commune, helping prevent soil erosion, improve the local ecosystem and create long-term income opportunities through bamboo shoot harvesting.

Amway Vietnam also supported the installation of 30 flagpoles and a solar-powered lighting system along a nearly two-kilometre rural road, contributing to the national new rural development programme.

Speaking at the event, local leaders praised the project for delivering practical environmental and social benefits, while Amway Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development through concrete community-based actions. -- VNS
