AEON Vietnam officially opens AEON Hải Dương, the first mid-sized shopping mall in the Red River Delta Region


AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre is AEON's third mid-sized shopping centre in Việt Nam, following AEON Tân An in Tây Ninh Province and AEON MALL Đà Nẵng Thanh Khê in central Đà Nẵng City.

HẢI PHÒNG — AEON Vietnam officially opened the AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre in Hải Phòng on October 3, marking the group’s 10th shopping centre in Việt Nam and the first medium-sized shopping centre in the Red River Delta region.

AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre is AEON's third mid-sized shopping centre in Việt Nam, following AEON Tân An in Tây Ninh Province and AEON MALL Đà Nẵng Thanh Khê in central Đà Nẵng City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tezuka Daisuke, executive officer and chief Vietnam business officer of AEON Group and general director of AEON Vietnam, said that the launch of AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre is part of the Group's strategy to accelerate the expansion of its network in Việt Nam.

“Today, AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre officially holds its grand opening, marking the start of a new chapter of development alongside the local community. We are committed to contributing to the community's prosperity, enriching people's lives, and growing together with our partners,” Daisuke said.

Trần Văn Quân, member of the City Party Committee and vice chairman of the Hải Phòng City People's Committee, said: "Given AEON Group's experience and reputation, the city's support, and the warm reception from the public, I am confident that AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre will operate successfully and become an attractive destination for residents and visitors alike, while making a positive contribution to the development of commerce and services in Hải Phòng and to the friendly, cooperative relations between Việt Nam and Japan."

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Ito Naoki also expressed his confidence that the opening of AEON Mall Hải Dương would bring convenience, ease, and joy to local residents and workers, as well as a powerful impetus for further development of the city.

Located in Thạch Khôi Ward, Hải Phòng City, AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre is a medium-sized modern retail destination designed to serve the growing needs of local communities.

The centre features a three-story building with a total floor area of approximately 38,100sq.m and a gross leasable area of approximately 26,000sq.m.

The centre includes an AEON sales area of approximately 15,000sq.m, alongside 37 speciality stores, offering customers a diverse combination of retail, dining, lifestyle and entertainment options. With parking capacity for approximately 600 cars and 1,100 motorcycles, the centre is designed to provide convenient access for many visitors.

With approximately 9000 employees, including 450 AEON Hải Dương GMS employees, AEON Hải Dương Shopping Centre is expected to become an important retail and community destination, contributing to the local commercial environment and providing a convenient, comfortable shopping experience for customers. — VNS
