HÀ NỘI — The K-Med Expo Vietnam and Hà Nội International Meditech Show 2025 started on Thursday, introducing the most advanced health care, medical equipment, products and technologies to Vietnamese people and businesses in Hà Nội.
The event will last three days in the capital city's ICE Centre and is among the largest medical exhibitions in Việt Nam.
Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the South Korean Embassy in Việt Nam and leaders of the healthcare industry and Việt Nam Medical Device Association.
Held annually, this year's edition features more than 100 enterprises, with the majority of participants being corporate decision makers and buyers, medical associations and medical device policymakers from the South Korean and Vietnamese governments.
This event is seen as an important bridge for the South Korean medical device industry to enter the ASEAN market. It is also a special occasion for the domestic and foreign medical communities to update advanced technology, expand cooperation networks and seek new business opportunities.

The exhibition displays medical products ranging from diagnostic and surgical equipment, therapeutic materials and dental equipment to home healthcare medical equipment from reputable Korean and Southeast Asian brands.
Many outstanding devices will be on show, including those applying AI technology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), automatic blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, blood oxygen concentration meters and medical devices in the beauty industry such as skin care devices, cosmetic surgery devices and non-invasive cosmetic devices.
Event organisers aim to create a trade bridge in the field of medical equipment and expand opportunities for cooperation, investment and technology transfer between businesses in Việt Nam and South Korea.
Doctors and experts can update their knowledge and explore breakthrough products and ideas and advanced technologies in the medical field.
In addition to the exhibition activities, organisers are also holding various conferences where prestigious experts from universities, hospitals, research institutes and leading medical enterprises in South Korea and Việt Nam discuss the latest issues and trends in the import and export of medical devices and showcase new technologies and products.

Participants and visitors can learn about medical equipment technology, including liver cancer diagnostic testing solutions, drug-resistant bacteria control, non-invasive imaging diagnostic devices, precision medicine applications and biological data.
Experts will also share practical applications for medical technology in hospitals and medical training, as well as learn about operating equipment in healthcare systems in both countries.
K-MED EXPO is co-organised by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Medical Devices Industry Association (KMDIA) and Korea International Exhibition Centre (KINTEX), along with the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) and Exporum Vietnam. — VNS
