VinEnergo deploys solar power projects for three factories in Hà Tĩnh Province
The total installed capacity for the factories in the Vũng Áng Economic Zone is expected to be 43MWp of solar power and 45MWh of BESS capacity.

HÀ NỘI — VinEnergo JSC has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deploy solar power solutions integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS) with three factories of VinFast, VinES and V-G Joint Venture.
This is a strong step towards greening production, promoting the use of renewable energy and developing clean energy infrastructure at the battery and electric car manufacturing complex in the Vũng Áng Economic Zone.
Under the MoU, VinEnergo will invest, install and operate rooftop solar power systems combined with the BESS systems for the VinFast Hà Tĩnh automobile manufacturing factory, the VinES Hà Tĩnh battery pack and energy storage factory and the V-G High-tech Energy Solutions Company Limited’s battery manufacturing factory.
The total installed capacity for the factories in the Vũng Áng Economic Zone is expected to be 43MWp of solar power and 45MWh of BESS capacity.
The estimated annual electricity output from the system is nearly 50 million kWh, equivalent to reducing more than 33,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. The project will contribute to the realisation of Vingroup's net zero emissions target by 2040.
With the synchronous deployment of solar power systems and BESS at three factories of VinFast, VinES and V-G, VinEnergo has become the first unit in Việt Nam to deploy the direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) including solar power with BESS, in line with the mechanism to encourage the development and use of renewable energy proposed by the Government.
This model is also consistent with the goal of greening production and contributing to building the Vũng Áng Economic Zone into a green industrial park in the future. — BIZHUB
