HÀ NỘI — VietChain Talents 2025 on Friday announced a shortlist of 51 projects for the semifinal rounds of the competition which aims to cultivate a new generation of blockchain talents and solutions.

The competition, co-organised by 1Matrix, the Việt Nam Blockchain Association and the Government Cipher Committee, has attracted more than 300 ideas from 220 teams since its lauch two months ago. Out of 138 valid projects, Layer 1 blockchain solutions made up for 35 per cent, followed by traceability 32.5 per cent, centralised and decentralised exchanges 21.5 per cent and blockchain bridges 11 per cent.

The 51 projects will compete for a place in the finals from July 21 to 31.

The competition is a platform for young talents to tackle real challenges and contribute to the national digital transformation, Nguyễn Vân Hiền, deputy chairman of the Việt Nam Blockchain Association said, adding that initiatives like VietChain Talents are vital to developing the next generation of talents for Việt Nam’s and wider technology ecosystem.

Notable projects included digital identity for public services, decentralised education platforms, digital asset – backed lending solutions and blockchain – integrated carbon credit exchanges.  

1Matrix is also developing Việt Nam Blockchain Multi-Chain Service Network (VBSN), a multi-chain infrastructure modeled like Europe’s  Blockchain Services Infrastructure and China’s Blockchain Service Network, aiming at delivering cost-efficent and scalable blockchain solutions for both public and private sectors.

VBSN can process up to 300,000 transactions per second and be integrated to the global blockchain ecosystems. — VNS
