Việt Nam-grown Katalon unveils AI testing solutions on global stage

The new features, integrated into the Katalon Platform and its AI agent Katalon Scout, use AWS’s Amazon Nova Act (Science Preview) and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to automate software testing.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam-grown software testing company Katalon is racing ahead in the AI era, unveiling its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI)-powered testing tools at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Day Vietnam – AI Edition 2025.

The new features, built into the Katalon Platform and its AI agent Katalon Scout, harness AWS’s Amazon Nova Act (Science Preview) and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to automate software testing. Testers can now describe requirements in natural language, with scripts generated, executed, and validated automatically. The company says this approach cuts testing time by 60 per cent while maintaining reliability and accuracy.

“AI has transformed how fast software gets written. Without a new approach to testing, that speed becomes a liability, not an advantage,” said Co-Founder and General Director of Katalon Uy Trần. “Katalon is leading the next wave of AI-powered testing, giving enterprises the confidence to guarantee quality at the speed of AI.”

Benchmark trials showed Katalon Scout shortened testing cycles by around 25 hours per sprint while improving coverage and accuracy through automated validation.

Principal Software Engineer at Katalon Son Đào noted that Amazon Nova Act’s visible reasoning and structured data extraction have been vital in enhancing testing quality.
