The European aircraft manufacturer issued an urgent Alert Operations Transmission (AOT) late on November 28, warning of a potential software malfunction affecting flight control.
The deal highlights the deepening economic ties between Việt Nam, France and Europe, and marks a major milestone in Vietjet’s strategic expansion as a multi-national aviation group, Vietjet said in a statement.
Vietjet will purchase 50 A321neo aircraft worth US$6.5 billion from France’s Airbus following an agreement inked between the two companies in Ha Noi last week.
