Nearly 18 billion cashless transactions were recorded in the first nine months of this year, with total value surpassing VNĐ260 quadrillion (nearly US$10 billion).
Relevant authorities are requested to swiftly implement measures to encourage non-cash transactions, enhance direction and guidance, and conduct widespread communication campaigns to promote cashless payments.
Customers of seven banks, including Vietinbank, BIDV, Vietcombank, Sacombank, TPBank, BVBank and Nam A Bank, can now scan LaoQR codes to make payments in Laos.
