Samsung Innovation Campus contribute to train 50,000 semiconductor engineers in Việt Nam
Samsung Vietnam and the National Innovation Centre have concluded the 2024–25 Samsung Innovation Campus, training young Vietnamese for the country’s goal of 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030.

HÀ NỘI — Samsung Vietnam has recently held the closing ceremony for the 2024–25 Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Technology Talent Development Project at the National Innovation Centre (NIC) in Hoà Lạc.
The programme marks an important milestone with outstanding results, contributing to the goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers in Việt Nam 2030.
The project officially launched at NIC in April 2025, aiming to develop advanced technology capabilities for the young generation of Việt Nam – those who will lead the success of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the country in the future.
Samsung Vietnam collaborated with NIC to organise five training classes on Artificial Intelligence (AI), three classes on the Internet of Things (IoT) and four classes on Big Data. These programmes provided high-tech training opportunities to 330 students from various universities, including the University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University, Hà Nội, the University of Science – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, FPT University, the University of Commerce and the Academy of Policy and Development.
The courses were designed on an educational foundation that combines core future technology skills with soft skills and practical workplace skills. The training content was selected based on tiered surveys aligned with industrial development trends in different regions, combined with recruitment demands from major companies. Alongside technical expertise, the programme also offered career guidance skills.
SIC students at NIC Hòa Lạc also received free Korean language training. In addition, they had the opportunity to meet engineers working at Samsung’s Research and Development Centre to gain further career orientation in the IT field.
Mai Đinh Đức Trung, a student from the IoT class at the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, said: "This was not just a course, but a solid foundation for me to confidently step into the digital future."
Vũ Thành Vinh, a lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology, Thuỷ Lợi University and currently teaching the IoT course, said: "The SIC programme shows Samsung’s great attention to developing high-quality human resources in Việt Nam."
First launched in the 2023–24 academic year, this year marks the second time Samsung has cooperated with the National Innovation Centre to implement SIC courses at NIC Hòa Lạc.
