HÀ NỘI – OpenAI officially launched its Sora app in Việt Nam, making it one of the first markets in Asia to access the company’s next-generation AI video creation experience.
According to Open AI, Sora is a new AI model that can create realistic, high-quality videos from simple text instructions.
Việt Nam is home to one of the region’s most vibrant creative communities, and OpenAi said it was excited to support the next wave of Việt-made storytelling. As part of the launching, the Sora app will also be made available in Thailand and Taiwan (China).
Since launching in the US and Canada in early September, the Sora app has seen incredible momentum and adoption, surpassing one million downloads in under five days. Creators have already produced a variety of imaginative and original videos, and OpenAI said it was excited to see what local creators, artists and everyday storytellers will bring to life.
The Sora app is available on iOS and free to download with no invite code required, the company said.
Powered by Sora 2, OpenAI’s advanced video generation model offers to generate compelling, hyper realistic videos, remix creations from others and share new interpretations.
The Sora app supports local language, including Vietnamese, enabling people to create videos that reflect local culture, humour and style.
Cameos have been one of the most-loved features among early testers. They make Sora not just a creative tool, but a playful new way to interact and connect with friends.
The company said they are committed to building Sora safely and responsibly in Việt Nam. VNS
